Uncertainty

Uncertainty

I have so many thoughts about the state of our nation. There is uncertainty that looms in our daily lives, and I just don’t see a quick and easy solution. I would say that most people think I’m pretty open-minded. I try to honor peoples’ choices and beliefs as long as it’s not harmful to themselves or others. I am not looking to debate anything I’m saying. I’m not looking for any arguments, I’m just processing my thoughts aloud.

I am worried about the way some people are managing their emotions. We live in a free America, but I feel it is slowly collapsing. I feel like too many people are acting on emotions, and trying to affect change in the wrong ways. I agree there needs to be change.  Change is essential for growth, but I wonder if the outcome of the current changes will cause growth or destruction? I also feel like people need to think about future outcomes. Every change we make will have a ripple effect. Not all change will have a positive outcome like some might think. Everyone in a leadership role must truly think things through. Please get input from all stakeholders. Please look at possible projections.
I try really hard not to live in the world of “what if”. I encourage my family, friends and clients not to live in “what if”, but with the current unrest, anarchy, and hate, it’s hard not to wonder what will happen to the U.S. I wonder what will happen to the future generations. Will my kids and grandkids have a free nation to live in when I’m gone?
Because of the unknown, I have been thinking about what is best for me to do. I thought about personal strengths. We all have strengths. My strength is not protesting, nor is it politics. I do think my strengths are educating and holding a safe place for people to gain awareness. I will do my part in these trying times to teach people about the precious gifts we have in this nation. I will teach people how to manage their emotions and how to deal with the fears that so many people are experiencing right now. I can listen to people and assure them they are not alone. There are plenty of people that feel the same way they do. I can help one person at a time.
What are your strengths, and how can you use them to help the current state of our nation?
Growing word by word,
Jackie
